For those wanting to get away from the usual crowded summer holiday hotspots the French Alps are the ideal solution. Chalet Maxim is available for self catered breaks from May to November; the perfect place to breathe the worlds freshest air, take in the mountain views and enjoy all La Clusaz and it's surrounds have to offer.

 Learn to paraglide, try your hand at mountain biking on the lift served trails, just take it easy swimming in the pool or wander through some of the most stunning alpine scenery in the Alps.

La Clusaz is also a quick 40 minute drive from the medieval lakeside town Annecy where you can browse the almost daily markets on the cobbled streets of the Old Town or take to the lake on one of the sightseeing boats or ferries.

There is waterskiing, swimming, wakeboarding, windsurfing, and sailing  on Lake Annecy as well as pedalos for a more sedate view of things with the odd swan for company. Also worth seeing is the Chateau de Menthon St Bernard for a guided tour of one of the most beautifully restored chateaux in the Alps.
